Heartless Human Harvest: Be a part of the Human Harvest

ele_inthepit meets Heartless Human Harvest at Reload Festival 2026

Some bands you watch. Some bands you discover by accident. And then there are the ones that make you walk away thinking: yeah, these guys are going somewhere.
Heartless Human Harvest are one of those bands.
Coming from Lingen, Germany, HHH have been around since 2019, mixing modern metalcore and hardcore with massive breakdowns, darker atmospheric moments and enough groove to make standing still during their set pretty much impossible.
I met them at Reload Festival, shortly after watching them absolutely destroy the stage. Within minutes of talking to them, one thing became very clear: these guys are great to hang out with, kind, funny, slightly chaotic, still working normal full-time jobs, ridiculously passionate about heavy music and genuinely excited about everything happening around them.
Basically, exactly the kind of band I love discovering.
And apparently Reload Festival loved discovering them too.
“People-wise, it was like the best show we ever did.”, they told me about their set. Then came the sentence that made that statement hit considerably harder:
“And we did Wacken two weeks ago, so that means something.”
From the first song, Reload opened the circle pit. The crowd was screaming their name and, according to the band, any pre-show nervousness disappeared almost immediately.
That connection between band and audience isn’t just something HHH talk about. It has a name: The Human Harvest.
“The Human Harvest is simply our community.”, they explain. Every show marks the beginning of another Harvest, with the band inviting everyone in the room to become part of it. “Everyone who’s part of the Human Harvest is our family. That’s the point.”

From Ice Nine Kills to the Human Harvest
Even the band’s name has another band hidden inside it.
Heartless Human Harvest comes from a lyric in Ice Nine Kills’ Stabbing in the Dark. They heard the words, realised the initials gave them HHH, and essentially decided: yep, that’s the one.
And calling them Ice Nine Kills fans might be underselling it slightly.
Our conversation quickly derailed into comparing INK tattoos (because apparently that’s what happens when you put several horror-obsessed metalheads together), before HHH renewed an invitation they’ve made before:
“Spencer, we want to fucking rip the stage apart with you.”
Spencer Charnas, the ball is in your court.
Their influences, however, go much further than INK. Arch Enemy comes up when they talk about the bands that shaped their teenage years, alongside The Ghost Inside and Thy Art Is Murder (they call Decade of Hate “one of the best deathcore albums ever.”). Their current favourites include Paleface Swiss, Allt and Thrown, whose modern hardcore sound gets the wonderfully simple verdict: “It’s beautiful.”
And if that all sounds appropriately heavy, please know that somewhere underneath it lives a man whose karaoke song is Natasha Bedingfield’s Unwritten.
I feel this is important journalism.
There is, however, one word they unanimously agree should never be used to describe Heartless Human Harvest: soft.
Considering everything I’d just witnessed on stage, I don’t think there is much danger of that.

What’s next?
Behind all the chaos is a band taking what they do very seriously.
HHH are currently balancing the band with full-time jobs, describing music as both a “side hustle” and a “full-time hobby”. Although, once your hobby has you playing Wacken and Reload, I think we might need a new word for it.
And things are moving.
On September 4, Heartless Human Harvest will release their new EP, adding two new tracks, Dust and False Prophets, to the already released Pray, Altered Realities and Hope.
Then there’s Core Fest on October 31, where they’ll spend Halloween alongside Paleface Swiss, Abbie Falls, Thrown and many more (on the stage, not on a Trick or Treat round, right?).
There are more plans they weren’t ready to tell me about yet. They did promise announcements are coming though.
And as for Paleface? HHH have already shared several festival lineups with them this year, but apparently none of us thinks that’s enough. I want a tour with Paleface. They want it too. Honestly, I can’t imagine a better match.
“They can two-step with us. They can mosh with us.”
And when Zelli specifically enters the conversation?
Going crazy with him, they decide, would be insane.
Again: “DMs are open.”
Heartless Human Harvest are heavy, ambitious, passionate and clearly having the time of their lives while figuring out how far they can take this.
So, if this is the beginning of the Human Harvest?
“Go on. Be a part of the Human Harvest.”

EP out on September 4, 2026
